The Morris Philosophy
The Morris philosophy of ‘quality in all we do’ is reflected in our approach to corporate social responsibility and how we manage the economic, social and environmental impacts of our operations, maximising benefits and minimising downsides.
Responsible business practice not only delivers social and environmental benefits, but is critical to long-term business value and reputation. We align our values and behaviour with the expectations and needs of our customers, staff and suppliers as well as to the communities we serve and society as a whole.
We strive to continually update our practices in line with economic, environmental and social factors ensuring we are playing our part in nurturing our staff and helping protect the business environment and wider world we all share.
Environment
We recognise the important role we can play in safeguarding the environment both in controlling our use of resources and in managing our day-to-day business activities.
Our own Environmental Policy ensures we operate in an environmentally sound manner through continual improvement in our performance across issues ranging from recycling, on-site waste minimisation to a commitment to reducing energy consumption.

Employees
Empowering our staff to be good citizens is a vital element of our CSR. Working in an environment of mutual respect encourages people to be responsible citizens.
We allocate financial support for sponsorship of local projects and activities in the community and actively encourage our staff to join in and get involved. We welcome ideas for ‘green initiatives’ and charity events – it’s a chance to give back, not just through finance, but equally with our time.
Embracing diversity, championing equal opportunities and creating good working environments are the cornerstones of how we operate. Providing outstanding training, mentoring and knowledge-share ensures our staff are fully equipped to work and develop the business with us.
Health and Safety
We have robust policies in place to achieve a positive health and safety culture throughout our organisation; it is an integral part of all company operations and it goes far beyond mere compliance.
We are committed to the prevention of injuries and to fostering the good health of our employees and provide a continual programme of structured Health and Safety training.
In fact, we pride ourselves on lower than industry average accident rates and above average levels of employee training and certification in health and safety.
Economic
We are great believers in doing things through gaining respect - from our customers, staff and suppliers. We carefully select our supply and business partners to ensure they operate to the same high standards and this, in turn, helps develop long term relationships.
We exercise good corporate management to ensure a well run business that is fully compliant with all UK legislation and we regularly benchmark and measure our performance.
We are committed to maintaining and continually improving our management systems to advance our service delivery performance. It is these systems that provide the backbone of our vision to remain a leading edge business committed to meeting and exceeding customers’ requirements and expectations.
