Thank you for being part of our story
A big part of this year's 150th celebrations is about thanking our people - recognising all those who play a part at Morris & Company.
As we approach the 150th day in this milestone year, we’re involving all our staff and thanking them for their hard work. This week, our thank you came in the form of a commemorative gift and our new coffee table book. They were proudly presented to more than 700 staff from Morris Property, Morris Site Machinery, Morris Care and Morris & Company.
The Morris & Company coffee table book looks back over 150 years in styled, informative pages using information from our archive. Photographs, adverts and documents are brought to life in the book, including a candle advertisement for James Kent Morris’ Frankwell shop to images, Morris’s infamous sausage song and a newspaper cutting announcing the appointment of Mr Bill Morris as a director at the age of 24.
Our celebrations continue over with the opening of our Archive Exhibition at Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery on Thursday 30th May. We welcome everyone to visit to find out more about the Company history. Further details can be found here.Back to news
