Different Dog has its day at new Centurion Park unit
A dog food specialist with a new unique approach to hand cooked dog food has expanded its business from incubator units at Shropshire Council’s Food Enterprise Centre to include a brand new unit at our Centurion Park development on Kendal Road, Shrewsbury.
The new warehouse and office space is approximately 4154 ft², doubling Different Dog’s facilities. The new units provide the team with much-needed space to accommodate their recent growth in the market.
Different Dog Founder, Charlie Thurstanset up the business in 2017 to bring together the best of both worlds, the science of dog nutrition and the joys of real hand cooked food. Their expert vet, canine nutritionist and dog behaviourist check and approve every recipe and every ingredient added.
Charlie Thurstan said: “There is growing demand for high quality dog food that uses the best ingredients to create a balanced diet for dogs. Each of our recipes are as unique as your dog, lovingly hand cooked, using fresh locally sourced ingredients. We needed a larger space than we had available so we can invest in new freezers and storage facilities and take the business forward.
“The new units at Centurion Park were a great option because of their professional look, flexible floor space and close proximity to their key markets. They were recommended to us and we were impressed by Morris Property’s ability to accommodate our requirements.”
Toby Shaw of letting agents Towler Shaw Roberts added: “Centurion Park offers quality modern units in a popular location, with both flexible leasing and affordable quality. There has been keen interest in the development, with 85% of the 24 new units let within the first 12 months.”
Morris Property is part of a fifth-generation family business group which has been building, restoring and leasing property for over 150 years. Today, they manage a portfolio of 212 buildings and, as one of the region’s most active construction businesses, partner with private developers and public sector bodies on major projects through to speculative developments.
