Morris recognised for long-term community investment
Morris & Company is delighted to have been recognised as a long-term supporter of the Shropshire Investors in Community (SIIC) programme, reinforcing the company’s commitment to helping build a sustainable, long-term source of grant funding across Shropshire through the Shropshire Community Foundation.
SIIC is a relatively new collective investing in the good of those communities and people most in need across Shropshire, while also providing guidance for businesses looking to shape their organisational CSR and ESG goals.
Being part of SIIC is just one element of the wide range of community and charitable initiatives that Morris & Company undertakes each year – from supporting budding talent around its construction projects to fundraising for local charities through internal bake sales and staff events.
Our Head of Estates and ESG team member, Neil Anderson, met with Andriané Usherwood-Brown, Trustee of the Shropshire Community Foundation, to receive a recognition plaque and learn more about the difference that long-term investment makes.
Andriané said: “We are delighted to have long-term investors such as Morris & Company that are helping build stronger, more resilient communities across our county.
“Their commitment through SIIC enables us to direct funding where it is most needed, respond to local challenges, and create sustainable change rather than short term fixes.
We are incredibly grateful to Morris & Company for being part of a community of investors who share our ambition to make a lasting difference in Shropshire.”
Businesses interested in supporting SIIC and contributing to long-term, sustainable community funding can find out more via the Shropshire Community Foundation website.
