Launch of ‘Green Day’ at Morris

The 3rd of November has taken on a new meaning at Morris & Company, marking the launch of the company’s first-ever ‘Green Day’. This new annual event is dedicated to updating colleagues on exciting progress the Company is making on its green journey.

‘Green Day’ was celebrated across all teams and sites across the business with a special treats package designed to both inform and inspire. Inside, colleagues found a ‘Morris Green Journey’ update book packed with the latest initiatives the company is undertaking in its commitment to reduce its overall carbon footprint.

To further fuel inspiration and encourage sustained engagement with the company’s sustainability goals, colleagues received two special treats – an insightful copy of Mike Berners-Lee’s influential book, How Bad Are Bananas? The Carbon Footprint of Everything with a fun green Morris sweetie van.

We hope these resources will empower employees to continue making smart, sustainable choices in their daily lives.

The educational element of the day was further reinforced by a showing of the documentary, David Attenborough: Climate Change, providing colleagues with a shared opportunity to reflect on the global climate agenda.

Going forward, we will use Green Day as a powerful reminder of the collective effort required to meet sustainability targets, demonstrating our commitment to a greener future.
